Welcome to the crazy journey of making No. 9

I can finally start telling the world about No. 9!

I have been mulling over, designing and redesigning No. 9 for a few years now - I’m a designer by trade but have always had an itch to use my skills to make theatre. This is going to be a space where I log the process of making a design-led piece of theatre, I’m going to share my thinking process, interrogate my decisions and of course show you some mood boards and potential plans.

This is all a bit of a learning curve for me so I’m really chuffed to be co-producing this with Alphabetti Theatre, who by the way, are pretty damn exciting - they’ve got a really infectious enthusiasm for good story telling.

Along with Alphabetti I’ve got a fantastic team of local theatre makers that are pretty well known on the scene, I’ll chat more about them at another time (can’t be divulging all my secrets straight away!) This team are bringing their expertise and big hearts to No. 9 which is crucial to the success of this process and the show.
